these are certainly nice chips, stock at 2533MHz, and 1.12v with a 266FSB(1066)
i got up to 3522MHz with 1.34v with a 371FSB(1484) with stock intel cooling mind you

so maybe it wasn't 100% stable and that's a lot of vcore, but that's basically the max, really stable is 3400MHz at 1.28v with a 358MHz FSB; that is my "safe" speed, a major OC, but way under max

temps are both idle, but at load, 3.4GHz gets up to 64C(running SMP FAH for 8+ hours) and at stock, it gets up in the low 50s depending on ambient temps so the OC isnt adding much heat at all

I know this isnt as major an OC as some of you have done, but im going from a Athlon XP 2800+ which can raise the FSB by all of 12MHz, not 105MHz like this :)

That's a nice little chip you have there!

Must be a nice boost in performance too.

That's a really nice overclock. As you saw from my thread, I was able to get it up to 3.73Ghz.

Get yourself a cheap aftermarket cooler and keep the temps down. Any cooler will certainly be better than the stock Intel cooler.

Now you can sell your X850XT and get yourself a 9600GSO and call it a day.

right now, i have it a little under 3.4GHz and sub 1.3v, but its really stable(FAH for 10+ hours) and there isnt much of a performance hit between 3.40 and ~3.35 so i'll take the lower temps @ 3.35 or so as a win.

as for the x850, nah, its a very solid card(i can run TF2 at max settings at a dependable 60+ FPS @1440x900) and i ALWAYS want to have a backup card

once it gets cold out, i'll put the case in the window and see if i can break 4GHz under 1.4v

I'll be having some OC fun with an E7200 pretty soon too :D
