2.8ghz 1mb cache vs. 3.0ghz 512kb cache

Hey folks,
I was previously running an Intel Hyper-threading Pentium 4 processor in my Dell GX270 desktop, running at 2.8ghz with 1mb cache.
I bought a used processor off of eBay, a Pentium 4 3.0ghz 512kb cache, and that's what is running the box as i type.
I was disappointed when i figured out the processor i bought had less cache than the one i WAS running. My question is, which one will really win out if you put them head to head?
Does the lack of 512kb cache mean the 2.8 will actually out perform the 3.0ghz processor?
I don't do too much with this box, but do play WorldofWarcraft on it, with a decent 512mb AGP 8x video card.
Thanks for any and all opinions on this one.
