I7 overclocking

Post by XstollieX »

I am just wondering what type of overclock's everyone has been able to achieve with their I7 chips. I am currently testing 3.6 with ht on @ 1.31875 volts. I will provide screenshots when done testing. So far I am at 13 hours small fft's and counting. My max temp so far is 51c.

Haven't felt the need to push it any higher, since this is for the cooler testing, figure most wouldn't want run any higher on air 24/7

I change mine up all the time depending on what I'm doing at the time. I normally jump between 3.6 and 4.0, 4.2 is only for rare occasions...................

I'm a little jealous myself with everyone's speeds(Especially Apop's  )I'll be up there soon enough. Once my bank situation is straightened, first thing I'm getting is a new cooler..can't really do much of an overclock when I'm already hitting 70*C or more idle on stock speed/cooler #-o (according to RealTemp anyway)

indeed..just made my 2nd car payment in 3 days today(last months was delayed by the bank issue) so as long as all is well, i can start saving up again for the last few parts.next order should be the new cooler and another 285 ..order after that will be the 2nd PSU since deciding I'm not doing 3 gpu's

I was playing around with my OC a little before my PSU blew and this is what I ended up getting, I'll go for more after I get the PSU replaced.

Well, I hit the big 4 ghz..crazy fast on this thing. My v10 cools like none other but it's either got a huge issue or I missed something. The damn thing keeps beeping at me every 10-15 seconds and I can't find a solution anywhere..on top of that I'm SOL til Monday to talk to Cooler Master about it..It beeps, yet it still works, weird. I probably won't be on the pc much but who knows..I might be searching everywhere online on this disappointing issue
