Intel has nothing to do with Cell and Tesla processors... Processors like NVIDIA's Tesla are ultra low-end x86 processors aimed at movie playback. Something even an ARM processor can do...

The Core i7 processor is the latest and greatest from Intel... For a full list of all current production processors and their pricing check this out: http://www.intc.com/priceList.cfm

- Core i7 will be shrunk from 45nm to 32nm (code name Westmere).

- Intel will be releasing a cutdown version of the i7's called i5 (codename Lynnfield). This will be a new socket LGA1160

- Intel will release a dual core version based on the i7 architecture (codename Havendale). Socket LGA1160

- They will also be moving to integrate basic graphics processing onto their CPUs.

Are any of the current i7 boards being designed to take advantage of or be able to use the 32nm cores when the come out? I'd hate to buy a Rampage II and not be able to use a 32nm in 8/12 months.

Isn't that where a Bios update comes in?

Unless I'm mistaken, I can't just BIOS update my P5W DH to run 45nm 775 chips.

no one can answer your question skip as production silicon isn't being made yet...

Ok, thanks Nate, all I needed to know. I'm not planning to build my new PC for another 6-8 months anyway so hopefully by then the smaller chips will be hitting production.
