Hello lr, I'm new and I have a question about my processor that I hope you can answer.
I have a Pentium 4, what I believe is, a hyperthreaded 3.4ghz processor. Today I went through Device Manager and noticed under Processors, it had two listed. Like a dual core almost, I can even go through and watch the activity between two screens(cpu0 and cpu1) as if they were dual core... But my understanding is that it's just hyper threaded, so it acts like a dual but isn't. So my question to you is, am I correct in my assumptions, or do I sound completely stupid? What do I have, a single, a dual, or a single hyper threaded processor? Thank you for your time.
P4 3.4ghz hyper thread? like dual core?

Re: P4 3.4ghz hyper thread? like dual core?
you have 1 physical cpu but 2 logical. Basically you have 1 cpu that can process 2 threads at the same time.
Dell Sucks.... In my opinion anyways
