Interrupts - Pentium 4

Post by vandel212 »

Hello, I'm working on a paper for school and I need some help. The one section of my paper includes how interrupts are handled with the Pentium 4 processor. I am having an incredibly difficult time trying to find an article about that subject. I've googled the heck out of it and looked through Intels website and found nothing. Does anybody know of an article (or anything for that matter) that I could find some information about how interrupts are handled?

This may be a long shot but have you tried contacting Intel's marketing department? Explain to them what you are doing, why you need it and what information you will need. Usually a company will help you out as long as your request isn't lost in the bureaucratic shuffle of things, especially at a huge corporation like Intel.

It will also help to have direct quotes from the manufacturer and not a third party if you do get that info.

The basics are probably the same than in older processors (ie: 80188) which you can find plenty of information on
