760 = 755?? huh?

so....

i just loaded up my cpu in nate's 855gme motherboard and i ran cpu-z and it's reading that i have a pentium m 755... however, the box said that the processor was a 760. should i call intel and ask them "hey!? wtf?!"

CPU-Z is a great desktop computer utility, but their support for mobile platforms is not the greatest. CPU-Z may simply be not compatiable. All Intel Pentium M processors have their stepping & speed grate on the top of the processor itself.

CPU-Z should work fine for finding the frequency. Just ignore half the other stuff.

EDIT: apparently, the kinks worked out whenever i downloaded the new cpu-z. i had an older version. i'm happy now

(however, i'm curious as to why the default fsb on the cpu was set at 100... it shoulda been 133, shouldn't it have?)
