Can someone tell me witch temp. of the cores is wright.

CPUID is usually pretty dependable.... have you booted into the bios just to see what you get?

Update Everest to the latest build 5.30.1954 (http://www.lavalys.com/beta/everestulti ... l9mwrx.zip) and see if there is still a discrepancy.

Don't worry about it too much. I haven't found a monitoring program that gets the temps right in one of my computers. If the computer is stable then it probably isn't overheating.

I know that these temp. are ok, but the problem is when i clock my cpu i dont know on what temp. to look since these two programs show different temp. one shows 5C more then the other on the cores.
I have C2De6300 can you tell me how high can the temp. of the cpu and the cores get before die temp.

for the E6300, or any of the Core2's really, 75C under load is borderline between too hot and fine, it's more of a preference , the thermal threshhold(the point when it becomes dangerous and likely will shut itself down) is up at 100C but you are nowhere near that

if you plan to Overclock, id STRONGLY suggest you download Coretemp and in the settings have it run at startup, and set to close to taskbar, that way you can see your temps just by looking at your clock almost, and it also displays the thermal threshold of your particular CPU, and it is also very dependable.

for reference, my 2.53GHz CPU at 3.42GHz is running at 55C under load and 38C idle, and it has ran for months 24/7 at 75C load before(i had it actually at full system load 90% of the time)

*And for your initial question: each core of the CPU has its own number, and own temperature reading, and the CPU itself has another general reading, 'CPU0' and 'CPU1' (or 'Core #1' and 'Core #2' depending on the application you are using) are the only important numbers as they are generally more specific and accurate regardless what application is used.

Thanks guys for helping, so you say that i should look the temp. on core temp and not on Everest.
Ill run prime or orthos and do a clock an my CPU and then ill put some pictures here for you guys to look at.

This is what i got is this OK,i have installed speed-fan and it shows the same temp. as Everest, and have tried Real Temp and it shows the same temp. ass Core Temp.I have done a clock from 1.8Ghz to 2.8Ghz.

a bit toasty for some people, but perfectly safe

My quad core hits 85 when running LinX. Every other program that is actually a real program can only get it to 70 degrees (video encoding software that uses all 4 cores).
