is it a dual core with two virtual cores? I was just using my friend's laptop and when i checked task manager, there were four CPU grids.

Yes. It says that the 300 series is dual core and has hyperthreading. I had no idea that Atom processors have these sort of features. I'm falling behind on tech improvements.

you can always get one of these and find out first hand if it was a desktop board - http://forums.legitreviews.com/about26490.html

The Atom N330 with an NVIDIA Ion wouldn't perform too differently from this - http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1057/1/
