well, on monday i'm ordering a Q8300 2.5GHz (1333MHz/333MHz FSB) and was wondering what people think i'll be able for clocks, the board i'm using is in my Sig, and has gotten my E7200(1066/266) @ 4.15GHz 1750/437, but i now have better cooling

my goal is at least 3.5GHz, 4GHz would be nice ;)

you should be able to get 3.5ghz but 4ghz will be pushing it on that board but nonetheless try it and post back the results!

Ouch... You bought the Q8300 just so you could put the mobo to good use too.

your board does exactly what mine does! everything i try after 3.562ghz/375FSB and it POSTS then hangs at the load screen. i tried waiting 30 mins just for it to pass but still no luck and 3.562ghz seems the max i can go but, should be able to get 3.8ghz/400FSB minimum :?

the difference is, you board does that at an overclock, mine does it at ANY frequency or voltage, including-but not limited to: Stock.
