Processor upgrade help

Post by Tweek »

Hey everyone, I recently started upgrading my computer, so far i have found everything i need, except for the processor. Right now my motherboard is http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Produc ... 16&LanID=0 with an Intel celeron D 360. I'm looking for an upgrade to give a good boost in games such as World of Warcraft. I have looked for processors on many sites but really haven't been able to find one, so i figured i would get some help if anyone has any advice to give.

Socket 775 is pretty old now if you can find a cpu it would probably be secondhand.

If you can afford it I think you should do a whole platform update. Cpu, Mobo, Ram.

Ah yeah, since i got a new gpu, power supply, and alot of extra ram, i might as well go the extra mile and get a mobo and cpu to match with it. Thanks for your help i appreciate it!

It doesn't look as if his motherboard supports 45nm processors so Wolfdale is probably out. Best option is a platform upgrade.
