Hi,

I am very interested in the Core-i5 2500S CPU, because it is laid out for a TDP of only 65 W (which is quite less compared to the 95 W of the i5 2500), despite 4 cores and a turbo mode of up to 3.7 GHz.

I have searched for days now, but no online shop (in Germany, and didn't find any in other countries either) offers this CPU, although the Intel webpage http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=52211 says that it has officially been launched. I found an Austrian shop, though http://www.ba-computer.at/product_info. ... id=1223585; they offer the CPU, but they say that "shipping will require at least 14 days".

Does anyone know if and when we will actually be able to buy the i5 2500S?

There is nothing wrong with it, the issue is that only the K types of the newer CPU's can be overclocked. (these are designated by having a K at the end of the CPU name ie. 2600K)
