WOW! now prices are going to be WAAAAYYYY out of the ballpark I would think, kind of like the extreme cpus, but this could be a killer blow to AMD if Intel beats them to the punch with quad AND has them cheaper!!
Mike
the bastards :p lol too bad the Intel MB's will be 3-4 times as much as AMD's

All I can see is dust blowing in the wind. I can't see AMD anymore...just dust...

Mabye AMD will have to fall back to just making graphics cards

anyone see that coming?
But I really hope that AMD can get their manufacturing process down to 65nm soon (currently scheduled for 2Q 07), because without competition the market stagnates and we end up worse off.

they've announced greater cooperation and said they are planning on building systems with greater cpu/gpu integration. How is this leaving the market?? :D

Well, its certainly looking like my 6 year run of AMD only processors might be coming to an end.

They're supposedly trying to do "Fusion" which is a integrated CPU/GPU on the same silicone solution.
So what I'm taking out of that is that you'll be able to buy a mobo combo and not have to worry about upgrading the video card but at the same time I think there will be a lot of restrictions.
