P4 2,8 O/C ?

Hi! Iam new to overcloking, so i need some help with these.

Welcome to the boards Jeth. take some time to creat a signature.... in that, put the specifics about your system (processor type, motherboard type, memory, video card, PSU, case, etc). everyone here will be happy tio help you but we need a couple of things first. what do you want to do? what do you use your system for? What type of cooling do you have? Etc. tell us al about your system and yorself.

The first thing your going to run into is your motherboard. You have an Intel baord and they do not alow for any overclocking. While the D865PERL is a very solid motherbaord it does not have any controle over your Front Side buss or Voltage. Two of the inportant controles that you will need. The good news is that if you want you could most likly sell your motherboard for ~$40, and buy a new board that will alowe for more overclocking.

****, i nearly bought this computer. And right away i "should" buy new motherboard.. :/ Is there any way to O/C this?

intels burn in allows something like 2-4% and thats it

Yep thats about it. Burn in mode will give you a little more with out the voltage bump. Sorry. anything else would invlove some extencive electical and electronics knowlage.
