Intel Utilities - Temp difference?

Can anyone tell me why TAT shows a different CPU temp compared to the Desktop Utility Software? Seems that TAT runs about 3-4 degrees C higher than the Desktop Utility software.

I think the reason is the way which the temperature is calculated and reported. If I am not mistaken, the TAT is measureing the core temp, so it's much better judgement on the temp them other software.
