I think that's terrible advice.
qx6700, 2.66ghz, 2 x4mb cache --> $970
q6600, 2.4ghz, 2 x 4mb cache --> $541
have fun wasting $429 on 266mhz...and even more if you seriously plan on getting the qx6800

I'm waiting on the Yorkfield quad processor. should be a huge improvement....also...this allows time to see what AMD has to offer too. There isn't a need for quad-processing at this very moment.

any news on when intel will be bringing out quad core's with 1333fsb
that would be worth the upgrade my e6700 is good enough now (1400fsb) i imagine the new inel chips with a 1333fsb as standard would overclock real good
oh if they do bring out a quad core with a 1333fsb will that mean the 680i boards will work with em?

my understanding is that the xeon processors are for servers???
and will not go into a nforce 680i board so ?
that really doesnt answer my question?
when will core 2 quads be coming out with a 1333fsb as standard? as on the box of my 680i board it says it supports cpu's with a 1333fsb?
note my processor now is running higher than that (1400fsb) but thats overclocked, but i imagine the core 2 quads with a 1333fsb as standard will overclock mad...
