I'm about to build a new PC for my father. He doesn't want (or need) the latest greatest stuff nor does he want to spend a lot of $'s.

I'm considering using a Pentium D as pricing seems pretty good on the bang for the buck scale.

Does anyone have a suggestions on a good Mobo (at a good price!) for that chip? I'm looking at the 3 Ghz chip.

I would suggest an Core 2 Duo mainly because it will destroy a Pentium D at the same price. The motherboard will allow for an upgrade to Quad Core at some time in the future if you so desire
