For the 3.3v that is correct.

The middle two wires on a molex are ground. So if you put your black MM prong in one of the middle two, and then the red prong on one side it will give you either 5v or 12v. Move your black MM prong to the other of the middle two (not essential, but usually the red prong wont fit with the black prong in the ground right next to it), and the put the Red MM prong on the other side of the molex, this will give you the other voltage that you didnt get before (5v or 12v).

If you have a little flower icon on your camera, use that mode when you next need to take pictures of something close up. Its called macro mode, and allows you to focus on things close up.

OK, the rails look to be ok from what I can see there, the important thing is that the needle was staying pretty steady during those tests.

For the stress tests, just an hour would be fine, as it fails before that when trying to install something, is that correct?

quite correct, it's just passing "4400000 iterations without errors (53900.00 GFLOP)" and its been running WELL over an hour

newegg cant help me, and although i've registered my board with ASUS, I CANT FIND WHERE TO RMA the damn thing!!! ...... i'm dealing with this tomorrow i've spent too much time on it today x.x

Here's where I contacted them by phone to RMA my Asus M2N-E board, they handled it all in one phone call, they don't want the box, manuals, nothing but the bare board which is nice, mine was over the Christmas/New Years holiday so it took 2 1/2 weeks.

finally got an email back from the RMA department. glad its getting shipped back now, but i've been waiting the past day and a half to get anything from the Fedex tracking number they gave me

Regional repair/rma center is in Indiana or Illinois I forget which, I got my email on the M2N-E and 2 days later it was at the door. Hope this one is better!

arg i know i should be less stressed now that it's on its way but the estimated delivery date is the 28th. i'm going down to Parris Island, SC on wednesday for my little brother's boot camp graduation, and i won't be back til the day after its supposed to be delivered...... guess i'll have them deliver it to my neighbor or something

got the board back and i'm a bit tweaked theres no info on WHAT they did or found out about the board. talk about keeping a customer in the dark.

new problem: everything is in the case now, but the second fan wont turn on and the damn thing wont POST. i'm about ready to snap. its all plugged in, i dont get it.

Are there now post codes? or doesn't it get that far?

At this point, you should try to get old of another PSU and use that to eliminate the PSU being the problem. There could be a slight chance of a PSU/Motherboard compability issue.

On finding out that your system still isn't working, I was beginning to get annoyed with your PC, so I can't fathom what you are feeling right now. So I'll stick this one to the bitter end with you

no post codes. the intake fan wont even come on, just the CPU fan.

i'm strapped for cash right now so i can't exactly spring for a PSU. only PSUs i have access to dont have the necessary connectors or wattage.

got any suggestions for a test psu on the cheap?

so much for getting a 500Gb storage HDD anytime soon...

Beg and borrow someone else's PSU.

I trust that you have cleared the CMOS on this board too? One last trick, hold the 'insert' key down and while holding turn on the power.

holding insert did nada. and yeah i've cleared the CMOS before, i just didnt clearly state it in the thread. would it be a good idea to reset the CMOS-clearing jumper again since it's re-built?

nothing doing, i reset the jumper, plugged back in, powered on and still got the same issue.

i can't help but think its something stupidly small that i'm just not seeing. its not POSTing, the intake fan isn't even turning on, and theres nothing coming up on the screen when i power on.

Strip it down to CPU, then see if it gives you any POST code errors.
