Albatron 9800GX2-1GX - GeForce 9800 GX2 Pictures

Post by Apoptosis »

Got an e-mail last night when I was sleeping from Albatron and it seems they sent out pictures of the Albatron 9800GX2-1GX since they will be on Display this week at CeBIT.

Because NVIDIA 9800GX2 products are being allowed to be displayed at CeBIT 2008, we are distributing pictures of the Albatron 9800GX2-1GX for your reference.

However, the launch date is not officially until later this month and so we are not able to deliver news releases and specifications at this time. Please stay tuned.
Check out the pictures they sent... Gives a better idea of what the GeForce 9800 GX2 is all about.

pretty beefy, i guess the 9800 will have two PCIe power connectors like the 3870X2, wonder if the 8 pin is also only for OCing tho :-k

in my daily poking around I saw this pic of an EVGA card. Shows the card with the cover off but with a after market water cooler on it.

the dual PCB is weird looking...

i still think the 3870X2 is much more effective(for lack of more appropriate word), it is a dual GPU card not a dual card card ](*,)

What does this matter? It takes up the same amount of space.

well, for one, nvidia cannot come up with the same level of technology as ATI(#1 is 55nm, #2 is fitting two GPUs and everything else needed on the same size pcb, where nvidia still has to use two)

ATI just tries to push the Envelope more than Nvidia... :supz:

Plus, Dual PCB is a waste of space.. Imagine.. Quad GPU, could go into that space..
That would be ATI's thought process..

I wonder what the Temps on those Dual PCB's are going to be like, I cant imagine how you can get effective air flow over 2 cards.. ](*,)

ATI has more to prove than Nvidia..

Cant argue with Benchie and Performance however. :prayer:
