Please help me about Core 2 Duo E6650 2.33GHz

I already red the manual of this processor and it says that is should have a max cpu temp of 38C or below 38C, My problem is that I noticed that the cpu temp of my desktop is averaging of 42C, I am worried that my processor have a possibilty of overheating or worst it will burn..

This is the specification of my CPU:
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz 1333FSB
- Motherboard: Asus P5KPL-VM G31 1333/Vpcie/S/GL
- RAM: Transcend 800MHz 2G (2 pcs.)
- Videocard: Inno3d 8600GT 256MB DDR3 I-Chillite
- Powersupply of 400W

Is there anything I can do to reduce the temp of my CPU, I already installed another 2 fan (1 blower, 1 exhaust) but it still averaging of 42C, by the way the temp here in our country is ranging from 20C - 32C...

Well im not so sure about your temps of a max of 38C from memory the Threshold of the E6650 is 75? Anyway 38oC is a rediculous threshold for a maximum dont worry about it

The E6550 has a maximum temp of 72oC, as seen here.

In reality, you should be trying to keep it under 60oC (good practice).

So dont worry about the 38oC you might have read.

42c is a little high, if that is the idle temp. If that is a load temp, then it's not bad at all.

If you are using the stock CPU fan, perhaps remove it and reinstall the thermal paste. Too much is not better when it comes to this. You need the correct amount, or the system will not cool properly.

If your thermal paste is applied properly, an aftermarket CPU cooler could be a good option. I use the Tuniq Tower 120 and the Thermaltake Big Typhoon VX in my machines and both seem to work really well. I've heard a lot of people use the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro or the Kingwin Revolution RVT-12025. Any of those should be a good option and should reduce temps.

For ambient temps of "20C - 32C..." its about expected.

Speedstep with this processor also doesnt take the speed down as much as it does on say the E6600 (as it only goes from 6-7 multi) so it is also bound to run a little hotter than the E6600 or similar.

Idle temps of mid to high 30's are fine. Not everyone has a system under water.

ah ok, so its ok... hhhmmm... I'm worried about it because I only bought it last saturday, even though its still under warranty its better to have a knowledge about it.. I also think that its because of the climate in our country (20C - 32C)...
