MSI P35 Platinum memory question?

Post by ViPeR.Ja »

hi,
i have a MSI P35 Platinum with a E6850 processor and i was planning to overclock, so i ran into this ram Corsair Dominator 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 SDRAM Desktop Memory TWIN2X2048-8500C5D, DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500), 240-Pin, w/ Enhanced Performance Profiles, SLI Certified... you guys think that this memory in conjunction with this processor would allow me to overclock nicely and will this ram work with my MB?
Dell Sucks.... In my opinion anyways

My Corsair Dominator PC6400 has worked just fine in both of my MSI boards without issue. Your's is a bit faster, but I see no reason why it wouldn't. Worse case is that you may have to boot with a single stick to get into the bios to set the voltage, but if I remember correctly the memory has a JEDEC standard 5-5-5-18 values at 800MHz, so booting really shouldn't be a issue.

But that stuff should clock like a MoFo, mine does on my MSI P35 Platinum board..................
