Wehrenberg Theatres taken off the sale block

For those of us in St. Louis...

The Wehrenberg Theatres theme song will remain in place after all following Wednesday's announcement that CEO Ron Krueger Sr. is taking his family-owned theater chain off the market.

As reported first in the St. Louis Business Journal in December, Wehrenberg, the country's oldest family-owned and operated theater chain, was looking for a buyer for its 102-year-old theater operations. The company hired UBS Investment Bank to lead the search, but potential buyers were unable to make an offer that reflected the full value of Wehrenberg, Krueger said in a statement.

Good News for the STL area!
When I go to a movie I try to make sure its a Wehrenberg Theater!
My very first job was at the Halls Ferry 6 Cine< Wehrenberg's first Multi Screen Theater with more than 2 screens!
I hope they last at least another 102yrs!
