Just wondering if you made any headway on this?

Sorry for the late response.
Intel finally got back to me, and hinted at it being a power supply problem.
When I get some time, I'll check the connectors and what not before resorting to getting a new power supply.

Sorry for the late response. There are 3 fans in the case, 2 of which are case fans connected directly to the power supply, and the 3rd is the CPU fan which is directly connected to the motherboard. None of them turn off in standby or when shutoff.

As for power connections to the board, there is a molex connecter and what looks like an 8-pin connector (4xYellow, 4xBlack).

I updated to the 2813 BIOS, didn't fix anything.

Another interesting note: when the computer is in its on/off limbo, the reset button no longer works.

I'll have to try the reset button on my computer, but I would expect that nothing will happen if it is in suspend.

After a year of trying to get my XBX2 working properly, I've given up on the S3 standby Marvell controller issues and returned the board back to Intel.

I've switched to a Gigabyte EX38DQ6. So far everything is working.
PS2 keyboard works, S3 resume works perfectly. The motherboard has 8 SATA ports (6 on Intel), and COM1 and LPT1 legacy ports too which I needed.
I thought I had some problem with the gigabit Lan, but it turned out to be a problem with the HD on the machine I was copying from.

The only real problem that I've had is that Cisco softphone doesn't work with the Realtek HD audio drivers.
The work around that is to use a USB headset, so overall, this "upgrade" has been a good one for me.

Have you tried booting Linspire or some other OS from CD to see if suspend works properly?
