Whats the next thing to be 'sinked?
well to me it seems like heatsinks are on everything nowadays. Procesors, video cards, ram, north bridge south bridge mosfets PSUs hard drives sound cards NIC's and even cable tuner cards. hell ive even seen CASES with heatsinks on them. What do you think the next thing they'l put a HS on is?

Re: Whats the next thing to be 'sinked?
Yup, mainly because it sits inside a hutch and it gets a little warm due to bad air flow..................skierkid450 wrote:are you seriousBio-Hazard wrote:Already got a 120mm fan on the back of my 24" LCD..............skierkid450 wrote:monitors

All I did was take a old 9 volt DC power adapter from a dead home cordless phone, solder on a 3 pin fan header, mount the fan on the hutch behind the display by the vent holes and plug in the fan. This get a nice quiet 1200 rpm 120mm fan running on 9 volts, just enough to keep the air flowing...................

Re: Whats the next thing to be 'sinked?
That's a good idea Bio, I got the hutch thing going on in a corner unit, sets right by the thermostat, have to hook up a spare fan and see if that makes a difference.
