TT Armor with copper tubes

I went to HomeDepot and bought 2x1/2in ID copper tubes and few copper elbows + clamps .....
Started to play around with them ..........

These were some final results ... copper tubes in my TT Armor 8003WBS case.....

















It was kinda fun to "play" with this kind of stuff (have never done this before) ... :D

It looks a little better than using plastic tube ........

That looks very nice.

If you ever get bored in the future, you should take those off and polish them to a super shine! (Then coat them in something that stops the oxidation)

I would think the copper pipes would get VERY hot though. Does it make a difference in your case temperature compared to regular tubing?

Run hot water through your pipes for a minute or two, then feel the copper piping. It holds the heat longer than you would think.

Actually, it should help to lower temps because it's helping to cool the water before it even hits the radiator. The plastic tubes don't really let much heat out...but yeah, DON"T touch for awhile after turning your rig off.

Maybe try putting some fins on the copper tubes like those oldskool baseboard heaters that use hot water, might help to cool even more. We've got them in our house so I can snap a pic if nobody knows wtf I'm talking about.

I still say that's about as badass as watercooling gets!

Sorry, I don't have any pix during the build.

To hook it up into pump, I use 1/2in ID plastic tube (about 2inches long) - same method for connection between copper tubes and CPU, NB blocks, rad, and res. The plastic tubes would help moving part(s) easily.

Likek Alathad said, copper tubes would help to dissipate the heat (if any) in the tube (that's the idea that manufactures use copper for heatsink).
In my situation, since the temperature is not too hot , so the tubes is only be used to "show off" .. ... not helping to ease the temp.... TT Armor 8003WBS is big enough to keep system cool.

I came up with this after seeing MartinM (XS) made his copper elbows. So, I said to myself: "why not using copper tubes all the way?" ....

Keep that bad boy in a cool location. The last thing you need is to have the copper pipes sweat!

looks cool, but you might not get the best temps, as your gonna get some sick flow restrictions from all the 90 degree bends

You might be right, but have you ever find any 90* elbow that has better flowrate than that ?

With MCP655 pump, my cooling system won't have any problem with flow restriction ....
