No. They're completely different sockets. On the newer Intel CPU's the pins are on the motherboard, while for AMD the pins are on the CPU.

I think the PIII uses the processor "cards" or whatever they are.

the P3 here uses "Slot 1" i believe, which is stupid, because it has a skt 370 right above it :| and 370 is better
the slot design is rather odd, plain and simple.
