E6850 & 3DMark Scores

Post by fatbastage1982 »

Sup peoples! I have a question about my E6850. I'm running Vista 64 on my custom PC and even though my CPU is OC'd to 3.6Ghz, I'm still only getting a 3707 3dmark06 score (System stats below). Does anybody think they can tell me why my score is soo low compared to others with lower specs than myself?

Vista 64 SP1
Intel E6850 @ 3.6Ghz
650i P5n-E Sli
3GB DDR2 700mhz
EVGA 8600GT 512mb Core 565mhz Mem 430Mhz

You need a better video card to get a better score, the 8500 replaced by an 8800gt or above would do you nice. Your score would jump to the 10-11000 range.

Upgrade to an 8800GT or GTS512 and your score will triple. The 8600gt is a dud!

As you can see by my sig, I also have an E6850 and my 3DMark06 score is well over 13,000.
