Thinking about getting one for my PC but I've been reading about issues with extreme system requirements. My PC is in my sig, any feedback / input would be appreciated before I spend the money!
Thanks.

Extreme requirements, haha.

It plays fine on my rig (see sig, btw my 7950GT is a 256MB version) right up until the last stage, and only in a certain song was a slight frame stutter (kills you when you need to do the strumming on time), but I turned off the crowd and it worked fine.
This was at 1440x900 with all the games options on high.

They reccomend a 8800GT so that there is no stutter what so ever, you can get away with a lot less, but they were just playing it safe with the reccomendations.

if it seems off on the Wii just mess aroud with the timings. depending on your TV surround sounds ect. It can throw off the timings since there is a delay in what you see and what you hear.

I prefer Rock Band over Guitar Hero.

Totally, but for some of us, rock band isn't an option.

Well, just bought a Wii over the weekend but haven't had time to set up Guitar Hero III yet. Maybe this weekend.

the wife is a rocker from the '80s and has been yelling at me to get this for the 360. i guess she might be getting it for mothersday. the game does nothing for me but if it gets her going that could be good for me :)

Even slash couldn't use his epic guitar skills on guitar hero straight away, so if your wife gets frustrated that she can play real guitar and not guitar hero just tell her that.
