NEW YORK (AP) -- The chairman of chip maker Intel Corp. sold 100,000 shares of common stock, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

In a Form 4 filed with the SEC Wednesday, Craig R. Barrett reported he sold the shares Wednesday for $22.31 to $22.37 apiece.

Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.

Intel Senior Vice President William M. Holt sells 5,405 shares of company stock

NEW YORK (AP) -- A senior vice president at chip maker Intel Corp. sold 5,405 shares of common stock under a prearranged trading plan, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

In a Form 4 filed with the SEC Wednesday, William M. Holt reported he sold the shares Wednesday for $21.92 to $22.26 apiece.

The stock sale was conducted under a prearranged 10b5-1 trading plan, which allows a company insider to set up a program in advance for such transactions and proceed with them even if he or she comes into possession of material nonpublic information.

Insiders file Form 4s with the SEC to report transactions in their companies' shares. Open market purchases and sales must be reported within two business days of the transaction.

well keeping ure stock is supposed to be better unless u think there value will go down for some considerable time, 100k is farly high number,,, i think either he is afraid of what AMD is going to launch in the near future, and so once again byebye intel dominance, or he got something else in mind, i think it really depend on how much is the % of those 100k compared to what he owns
