I used one zip tie behind the hard drives to hold the chaise cables (led USB sound) other then that every thing is to tight to use a zip tie, and since i named the comp space monkey (off of FireFly :supz: ) it all works out

Just checked your boards manual, and it appears that you only need the orange sata ports connected like that if you want to use the eSATA port on the back IO shield. So you don't actually need that for SATAII, it will run at that speed automatically.

Dan
figured that to be the case as well but i didn't want to take any chances

Geez a lot of love for that tank, the Thermaltake Armor... All my friends laugh at me for buying it as it weighs ~70LBS with all my stuff in it.
This is a pic before I got my Q6600, 8GB RAM and abit IP35-Pro (which does not support SLI). Oh, and the 22" Acer AL2216W (black).
[Shameless plug]
My Opteron 170, A8N32-SLI Deluxe (full accessories) and a 7900GTX are for sale here and only here on LR...
[/Shameless plug]
Yes, I have used duct tape to hold cables in place, and no, it doesn't get sticky. I run the duct tape back on itself and then tape the non-sticky "tape" together at the ends with more tape. VERY strong, and great for holding fat cables. The power supply is the most stupid purchase I ever made. Not because PC Power and Cooling is a bad brand, but because of the 12v rail design which leaves 12v1 and 12v2 essentially dedicated to processors and 12v3 has to power everything else (graphics, drives etc). Talk about a waste of 17A... :axe:

Nothing special or super duper , but my rig treats me well .

My trusty Antec AMG case has served me well for the last 5yrs or so , but its time has come and daddy needs a change ! :finga:

I still need to buy a few new parts before I use the new Cosmos 1000 case (as its been sitting there in the box since last Christmas '07) , but I should have the new case up and running in another week or so . I'll post some internal pics once the Cosmos 1000 is up and running .

Here is my rig. Not a quad core, but Dual is fine for me.

The wiring still needs some work, but I will get to it eventually.

And, or course, my desk. Someone else on this thread has one just like it.

@martini161: the mouse pad was free and im too cheap to buy a new one. But i suppose i jsut like the size of the pad.

Hey Tek (and other 900 owners) ... Here's an idea that I saw over at XS for the power supply. Doesn't necessarily reduce the heat I think, but I think it's a pretty cool idea. Just cut a hole in the bottom of the case, trim the hole, and invert the supply.

http://img169.imageshack.us/my.php?image=054cagegb7.jpg

There's a thread over at Xtreme Systems with tons of ideas and work logs for the 900, http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/sho ... p?t=126395 . As with most boards, there's your typical love/hate/bickering, but aside from all that, and the 40+ pages now, there are some really nicely modded Antec 900s, and ideas that can be used on other cases as well. Thanks Dan for the "ok" to post the link.

I agree, it is an interesting idea, but, as a lot of my friends know, I am really clumsy, so I might get someone who is good at doing this sort of thing. But I do have one question about that: if it does not help with cooling, what exactly does it accomplish? Perhaps it helps some of the hot air form coming back into the computer? Just a thought

I think it looks pretty good... IMO, the PSU looks a bit goofy with the label upside down.
