Can I use PCI-E 2.0?
Can I use PCI-E 2.0?
I have an eVGA nForce 680I SLI, I'm looking to upgrade my video card, from the 8600 GTS to the either an 8800 GT or one of the 9 series cards, now, I can only find a card with PCI-E 2.0, if I buy this card, will it work with my board?

PCI Express 2.0 is 100% backwards compatiable with PCIe 1.1 and 1.0, so it will work just fine!
Re: Can I use PCI-E 2.0?
Excellent, the next obvious question would be what are the drawbacks? I how much of a performance loss would I suffer? More or less.

Ok another question, this mainly out of curiosity. I've been reading a lot about the video card I ordered, the 8800 GT 512mb, and keep hearing mid-end. I asked myself, with all of my current setup including the 8800, what am I considered? I never really understood how they rate you(you know, just the general consensus) in terms of low, mid and high end equip. So what do you guys think? Everything I've got now, including the 8800, what would you consider me?
I'm actually really excited to throw in that 8800, I've been reading tons of good things about it.

Erm, the low side of high end?
It doesn't matter how you classify your machine, if it is fast enough to do all the things you want to do on it then you should just be happy with it

when you think about it, that pc is very high end. especially considering that to the general market, high end is a dual core with 3gb ram and like an 8500gt
