Any recommendations on software to recover emails from a corrupted Outlook Express Inbox?
Freebies would be good, but there are pics in there that the owner wants badly so if it ain't free, they'll prolly pay.

Re: .dbx recovery
Thanks DS.
I tried the first one and it didn't work.
The 2nd one you listed does show the emails in the corrupted file.
But it won't let you recover even one without buying it first.
So you don't know if it really works until AFTER you pay for it.
Oh well, reckon I'll pay the $$ and give it a shot.

Re: .dbx recovery
I was able to remove the .dbx from the folder and allow OE to rebuild it. once that was done I pasted the old one back in place and all the email was saved. I'm not sure this would work for most instances, but I got lucky.
Aside from that, let them pay for the software and reinforce the idea of backing up data. ;)

Re: .dbx recovery
Well ...
The purchasing process of the mentioned software turned out to be so damn complicated that I canceled the order.
In the end, after moving their .dbx files to my PC, and into an alternative folder, OE opened all of 'em right up.
I got their pics out and burned to disc.
They're happy, and I got paid so I'm happy too.
