One of my buddy sent me recently a Pentium D 631 and i tried it's ocing capability and working on it next week too...
It works with low voltages and temps, nice chip. But i pushed voltages higher to get some 3DMarks test...

not a bad oc result, but I think current c2d can out-performs it at lower clockspeed:).

I think the fun of this is just pushing it to the max, rather than going for the best performance.

Is this with the DICE chilled water still?
It amazes me how far P4's can go with just a tiny increase in FSB speed.

Wow, that thing is getting toasty.
When does thermal throttling kick in on P4's? I always thought it was 80oC.

Works overheated as well (100+ celcius) but like a stupid, it takes twice as long to take a super pi...

yeah, its being throtled.
dan: the p4's is around 80c but pentium d's tend be very hot any way, so the t junction is higher, this is cause they did what intel is doing with the quads now

Contrary to what the title states, this is actually a P4, so yeah, it's throttle point is 'pretty low'.

Too bad you can't keep a processor running like this for a long while with chilled water...
