Man, the P180 looks so much nicer in black.

I forgot how much of a pain it is to hide cables in that case as stock.

Having said that, I think there are one or two things you can do better, like move the break out thing to the bottom PCI slot to minimise all that cable across the case, tuck as much of the FP connector wire that is slack behind the HD cage/into the FDD bay etc :P

the break out thing? the extra USB ports? yeah i can see that cleaning it up a bit more, as well as the FP connector wiring too...

that being said, i'm not afraid to mod inside! i especially like the motherboard tray opening for your watercooling, and i plan on doing something similar when i upgrade next (gpu upgrade with watercooling cpu/gpu) i really just wish my 8 pin cpu header was longer so i could snake it - it's a bit unsightly, not to mention the fact that its blocking me ever adding another fan onto the U-120X

For the USB breakout... here is a pretty cool idea for a space that is normally wasted

Now that's a win right there, I'm going to have to see if I can put my USB breakouts in new places (the Armor's got a lot of surface area...)

Well, I finally got some time set aside to do a rebuild on my systems... at least one so far, so I thought it time to bring this thread back up.

I've cleaned the dust from the case and CPU cooler since I shot the pictures. Wash and wax to come tomorrow. Let me know what you think.

Nicely done sir. That was cably tidy session to be proud of.
No vid card and a mATX mobo makes that case look empty.

Here is another rig of mine, built from scavenged parts and a cheap mobo to throw it all together:

E6600 @3Ghz
Abit IP35P
2GB Crucial Balistix
ATI X700Pro (feel the power!)
Belkin Wifi card
WD 250GB HD
LG DVD-ROM
Thermaltake Toughpower 500W

Thanks. Yeah... looks pretty empty. Full time Folding, part time fileserver (more drives coming soon), I stuck with onboard video. This was a scavenged rig from the jump. had some no name case, cheap power supply that self destructed, and the name FrankenBeast. I think it looks pretty good now for a total investment of less than $400.

looks like a fairly rugged case there Bio. I'm going to have to build my wife a new machine soon as well. She's finally starting to complain that her's is getting slow. P4 1.7Ghz, 1GB pc133 ram. Probably time to move her to a Core2Duo so it can do a little Folding in the background. :D

yeah those projecter lamps end up costing more than the projector if you keep it for a while. sometimes you can buy a projector with free bulbs for a certain period of time

nice choice on the keyboard (happens to be my avatar)

Here's my setup, certainly not proud of the cable management but I did the best I could 3+ pin adapters and two IDE cables

Image

btw that monitor is about 10 years old

Image

it glows in the dark...

if you can see how bad the cable mess is from the outside that's not a good sign...

You might notice the big gaping hole where a kickass graphics card should be sitting. Soon, I hope [-o< [-o< [-o<
