ASUS Lion Square Doesn't FIt The MSI K9A2 Platinum Mobo

Post by Apoptosis »

Borrowed the ASUS Lion Square from Bubba and went to try it out on the MSI K9A2 Platinum motherboard and found that it wouldn't fit as it hits the memory... I had the heat sink rotated 90 degrees off in this picture, but the heat sink has the same dimensions on all the sides.

That memory looks tall though, I'm assuming it would still work with regular RAM heatsinks?

The fins hit or the pipes? looks like the pipes would very close to the RAM even if the fins did clear.

Intel boards the socket is a little, well a lot, father away from the RAM slots...

What is like with some short ones in there.
