Found this excellent tool at the Mozilla project that is worth using as an add-in.

This will keep your privacy better while using Google.

It will also turn off those Google ads in webpages and turn off those tracking counters on where you are going within the Google system.

Works well in FF 2.x.x.x FF3 has some issues.
