Yeah sure, lo-end, lo-cost 8) works fine, hi-level ocing, cooler...
People which are the lo-end, cheap chips with high ocing levels, would you please share?
I know one, Pentium D 930 (5150 MHz)

low end c2d ftw :), e6300 on a crappy $25 air cooler @ 3.5GHz (to be fair there are about 2 120mm fans blowing on the chipset/ram/)
E6300 @ 3.51GHz 1.392v
Asus Maximus Formula
Antec 550Watt Psu
Mushkin DDR-1206@ 5-5-5-15 / 2.28v
Zalman CPU Cooler CNPS7700
6408800GTS(OC 691MHz Core/2.132GHz Mem)

kind of off topic but... right now my e6300 is @ 35C load with 1.4v lol, still with the same aircooler, i put the comp on its side and kind of pulled the curtains over it and opened the window so there is super cool air going into it, crazy thing is, temps are usually 55C idle, and the gpu is 30C idle, usually 60C +

It's a good idea chilling water with window air conditioner... It chills both case and loop water...
I remember my first ocing experiences during cold winter nights, wide open windows' :snakeman:

Consider yourself lucky that you got into overclocking in the core2 era, It wasn't always this easy!

But it's some good going so far.

Just out of curiosity, can you post a screenshot of the Memory tab in CPU-Z?
Also what stability tests have you run at this speed?
Oh and what precautions have you taken against condensation with that Peltier cooler?

Nice OC for your first go BTW
