is it true that amd's proceesors bandwidth are ( 6.4 gb/s + 8gb/s memory controller) 14.4 gb/s to the bus?
the question is ... does the 14.4 gb.s goes to the bus directly?
or the 6.4 gb/s goes throught the memory controller's 8gb/s pipeline to the bus?
amd's bandwidth

Okay... Let me think on this one for a second!
Total Processor-to-System Bandwidth
HyperTransport: up to 8.0 GB/s
Memory bandwidth: up to 6.4 GB/s
Total: up to 14.4 GB/s
This means that the AMD 939 processor has 6.4GB/s of peak theoretical memory bandwidth and 8GB/s of peak theoretical I/O throughput. According to AMD’s white papers the memory bandwidth goes through the CPU to the HTT bus.
