Card is superbly hot at idle!
Card is superbly hot at idle!
I'm using a 8500gts and why is it so freaking hot even on idle? its measuring around 70- 72C on idle! Is it because its not fixed in properly or something? Please advice.
Re: Card is superbly hot at idle!
Is it passive or active cooling? (With or without a fan)
Re: Card is superbly hot at idle!
has active cooling with fan.. its now on 72C constant.. i hope it doesn't melt or something
have not saved enough cash for a new one yet =/
Anyone has any idea to this? please advice thanks

If you're certain that you've perfected the airflow into and out of your case, then first check your bios setting. Reset the bios settings to default if you got a lot of tweaks for OCing. Other than that, another problem could be if you're using aftermarket thermal paste.
Also, GPU-Z the card. See if everything is running at its stock clocking speeds.

download riva tuner and turn the fan all the way up. this is normal for cards running at the auto fan speed
