The Dark Knight rules

Post by InspectahACE »

I know I know..it sounds like im jumping aboard a bandwagon...but i've seen it twice(first time was rather interrupted by my inability to sit close to the screen and not get sick)...but I must say...if you dug the first one...you love this one..no spoilers..no nothing.. go see it..Jack Nicholson kicked ass as the Joker..But Heath Ledger stole the light..just see it and ya might agree.. if not..the next beer is on me :drinkers:

It looks deliciously twisted and I plan on seeing it asap...I really liked the first movie, but it would have been better if they would have used the scarecrow character more...

by first, I believe he was referring to "Batman" with Michael Keaton, not Batman Begins. Hence the reference to Jack Nicholson.

Well in all fairness i was meaning Batman Begins..mainly since the movies before/after Keaton left sucked so much @$$..Batman and Batman Returns ruled too....but in Joker comparison terms, then yea it would be the "first" one that can be meant :P

I was referring to the first Christopher Nolan Batman (that would be Batman Begins :P ) as I'm assuming this film will be in the same vein as far as style goes. I did like Jack as the Joker although he didn't really bring the upper echelons of crazy the character really deserved IMO...

As long as it's better than that stinker with Clooney as Batman and had Schwarzenegger playing "Mr Freeze"...wtf

On a side note, I really like the general direction comic book movies have been heading, getting away from the kiddy cartoonish stuff and back into dank dark (semi)realism.

I really liked Batman Begins (I own it on Blu-Ray as of today) and I'm looking forward to seeing the new one. I like Christian Bale a lot as Batman.

Not even Copperfield can hang with that......Classic :prayer:...but one issue though now guys.. Christian Bale was just arrested for abusing his momma and sister...now call me callous and irresponsible..but isn't it quite a coincidence, that this arises when this movie breaks a few records?..I mean come on...who wouldn't want to try to get some of that money and say some crap like that? Now if he did.. then damn him...but geez..soon we'll see his mom in some sort of pron scandal (hopefully not for our own visual good)

I hope it isn't true. I am a Christian Bale fan.

Alright damnit, I will go see The Dark Knight. This is the spinoff movie about that one guy from Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail right? The guy who gets his arms and legs cut off? Only played by Christian Bale?

That movie ruled too hehe... I doubt Batman would beat a woman down during his moment of glory..especially if he was gonna get caught..they call spanking assault now so...hell..he probably merely grabbed them by the arm to escort them out of his residence for being rather rude for all we know and they cried wolf..it happens..who knows tho

I doubt this issue with Bale and his family will amount to much, at least I hope it won't. He is a fantastic actor.

I just saw the Dark Knight yesterday; unbelievably awesome. I do have one minor, minor quip with it, and I'm curious if anyone else noticed it. It seemed as if the hand-to-hand combat in this movie wasn't quite as visceral as it was in Batman Begins. That was one of my favorite aspects of the first film, how solid and gorgeous the combat was. Dark Knight's fighting sequences seemed a bit more generic to me. Perhaps it is because the first movie was attempting to emphasize the martial art training that he had recently mastered, and that most of his opponents were acolytes from the same school? :-k It is in no way a knock against the Dark Knight, just something I thought I noticed.

ya know..I noticed it too..but never really even became an inkling to me..only because like the differences you mentioned..he was fighting trained assassins most of Batman Begins..and this one..well..not so trained assassins..but i do see what ya mean..wasn't all too generic...i know the very first scene with him appearing bitch slapping that one dude seemed rather 2nd grade-ish...but..then again..would've seemed faker if they put some overblown sound effect slap on it.

Yeah, fantastic show. His 'interrogation' of the Joker was nice and brutal, though. :)

Just came from watching "The Dark Knight" and it was awesome. Wish I could have watched it on IMAX. Although, I will probably watch it again, on IMAX next time. Just needed to get it out of my system as when I went to the theatres last Friday, it was all sold out and I haven't had the time until now. Grr...

Heath Ledger as the joker was deliciously psychotic. He stole the show. I like Christian Bale as Batman but he was delegated to the background. Aaron Eckhart as Two-Face was much better than Tommy Lee Jones, but the Harvey Dent character was blah. Right now, my two favorite villains from the movies would be Heath Ledger's joker and Jim Carrey's Riddler.
