nope..all stock speeds...only thing OC'd is the video card which was factory set..the artifacts happen when i downclock it to stock speeds as well..almost makes it seem worse actually..i still dont get how atitools and the video stress test prog show nothing bad until i loaded a game..maybe those didn't put the card in a real load or something..yellow lines on atitool wasn't as bad as the picture was..but still

edit:....2 questions...#1 what would be the normal/optimal voltage for the cpu and #2 could overvolting the cpu cause any similar issues? its the only other thing i can think of that i tweaked in the bios ...nothing bad happened yet sinc ei reset the voltages to fail safe defaults..

Well...I returned the Gigabyte motherboard...mainly due to the fact that i had the same exact issues with my geforce 8800gtx and thought that can't be right since that worked perfectly for more than a year...on top of that...it took 30 seconds(no joke) to go from one page to the agreement page where you press F8 to agree when installing..and that was with 2 copies of windows and both video cards..so figuring since i bought it from Fry's and their sub par quality crap(most of it anyway) I better go exchange it...and so far...I've had not one problem..no waits..or hangs..no frowns..hell i even got to play a good 45 minutes of San Andreas before i shut the game down to further check things..I did notice on the Gigabyte board that the 4 pin power plug on the board was flimsy, like it wasn't even attached right..move the cord and the plastic body went along with it..not sure if that made a difference but it could have. but i exchanged it for the MSI P43 Neo3-F...basically a more up to date version of the previous MSI backup board i had..first time i tried Gigabyte..won't try them again..I know they are good..but ya'll know how first impressions go...Will let ya'll know how it goes..Looks liked it was the motherboard all along
