They totally took that device and slapped their brand name on it. I have that very same docking station I got months ago..can't remember the company now, but it shipped from China and it took like 6 weeks to get here.

OK, I'm in for the purchase of this baby! This is a true YES got to have one.

With all of the issues with HDD external boxes overheating and loss of connection during standby, this solution with the eSata with USB is the ticket.

Best of all, I can choose what drive size to swap in or out and how many to different drives when needed. Fast and easy!

TT has a winner here even if it's just re-branded for the sale.

=D> Great review and thanks for covering all of the details on this fine product. =D>

Can you use this thing with the boot drive?
Looks a lot easier than a drive bay.
I'm about to set up a new system with an Antec 900 case which doesn't look so drive bay friendly.
Thanks for the review; cool product.

The Thermaltake BlacX is a hard drive docking station designed to give you quick access to a bare SATA drive, with little effort. The BlacX supports both 2.5 inch notebook drives and 3.5 inch desktop drives with the Serial ATA interface. Unlike traditional hard drive adapters, that just leave the drive laying around, the Thermaltake BlacX places the drive in and upright position allowing maximum cooling efficiency.

Thanks for adding in Thermaltake's sales and marketing rhetoric for this device.

You should have no problem booting off the enclosed HD ,just direct your bios setup to boot USBHD as your 1st boot device.
This is very similar to booting off a USB flash drive.

Thanks again for the review this product looks like a winner.
