Finally got power back

Post by FZ1 »

We had a horrible wind storm from the remnants of Ike here in Cincinnati on Sunday. Over 90% of customers in the area were impacted and lost power at some point. My power went out Sunday around 2pm and came back on around 6pm last night. That’s the good news. The bad news is no internet  - cable is out. At least I have TV (dish)!

Actually the good news is that you are alive and well!!!

Hopefully you will be back in the civilized world very soon :)

We got hit by it as well, though it wasn't as severe out here as in Cincinnati...lost power overnight but AFAIK nobody had the roofs blown off their homes out here. We did lose a few trees though.

Glad to hear you're ok, my Aunt was out running when the wind hit Cincinnati (she lives near Clifton) and she said she had to climb over a few trees in the road and avoid downed power lines.

I am in SE Ohio, and we lost power sunday for about 12 hours. My friend in Columbus lost power for 24 hours, and I don't think his cable or internet is back yet.

Losing computers, TV's etc mean nothing if you lose your life. Good luck rebuilding and getting back whatever you lost during Ike.

Up here in Toronto, we got heavy rainfall. And I went out on that day without an umbrella =.=".

My Mom lives in Western Kentucky and she was without power from 9am Sunday until 4pm on Wednesday. They called it a "Tropical Storm with Hurricane Category 1 winds". My Mom said it was the scariest thing she's ever seen, and I remember at least twice growing up that F1 and F2 tornadoes went directly across the top of our mobile home.

Glad to hear everyone is ok.
