I like the frog also! Plus it has Displayport AND HDMI!! along side 2 DVI and an optical. Only thing left would be a digital coaxial hookup :)

NICE card!

I haven't even ever heard of a Display port before I got the card. Is it like the monitor version of HDMI? Anyone here even have a monitor with a display port?

I overclocked it a bit, and it folds just a bit better than my 8800gt. I can get a couple WUs per day at home, and the 8800 should be cranking out the real numbers.

Over all, I didn't take too much of a hit in the FPS area. I just wish it had some more shaders, or whatever they are called now.

Way it was explained to me is that the display port is a royalty free HD connection, if it says HDMI then someone, somewhere gets some money.

That sums it up quite nicely.

For those that need to read for themselves (anal retentive like me?)... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort

So I will likely never use it... Ok, makes sense to me.

I may try to remove the decal on the card, paint the plastic, and try to reapply, though removing decals are a pain.

could photocopy the front, cut out and mask off the part you don't want painted.

Starting Monday (9-22-08) and ending Sunday (9-28-08) we will be taking nominations from active folding team members on who deserves to win one of the systems and the two people with the most votes come Sunday will be sent one of the core platforms. You can't nominate yourself and you might want to post what you will do with the system once you get it and why you need it. This way two of the most deserving people get core systems and can fold with them.

The following week (9-29-08 to 10-5-08) all active folders will be eligible for a random drawing and a chance to win the last two 'platforms' that we will be giving out.

At the end of the competition the staff will be awarding the last lone GeForce 9600 GT to one deserving individual who stood out during the two weeks this took place, but didn't win the nomination contest or the random drawing
I know the two voted systems have been sent out, Were the winners picked from the active folders? who won those? Also who stood out during the contest to get the 9600GT?

i did see the contest up currently but the rules dont say you need to be an active folder to qualify - is that seperate from everything in this post?

I already did the nominations for folding members only and sent out two platforms and one 9600 GT to active folders...

The last two platforms and 9600 GT are open to everyone in the forums in the random drawing.
