Being a parent at all isn't cheap... how many kids you have bubba? I have 3, and waiting for the adoption to finalize on the 4th now. Especially difficult to go to the grocery store when you have a 9 year old that eats as much as I do.

I have 2, the boy is 7 and the girl is 9.

The boy is getting to that point where he's hitting multiple growth spurts in a year and wanting to eat just about anything that moves, and somethings that don't

The divorce and the reason behind it was/is where most my money is going right now, but it was for the best for me and the kids. According to the lawyer its not rare anymore that the dads are winning custody, must be something with the chicks in my generation...

:hijacked: whooops back on track, and just like in 40 some days (well for the USA anyway) don't forget to vote, they all count. :)

9 huh? All I'll say, is enjoy it now... soon, she'll be 14 and nothing will be the same. As someone once told me "when you have a boy, you worry about one boy. When you have a girl, you worry about EVERY boy".

Anyway... I'm still torn on my vote a little. I had a couple names picked out. Folks from the War that the only reason they competed was to help the team... knowing full well they couldn't make any type of push for the top. Unfortunately, those names chose not to be nominated, so I can't decide. Think I'm going to have to borrow Dan's idea and grab a hat.

As for the pulling the name from a hat idea, what ever works as long as we get everyone that can vote to vote. :supz:

She asks for stuff like that now, all she does is point at it and says "so and so at school has that can I..." I tell her no, and explain that the 2 of the shirts she wants is what we pay for TV for the month then ask which she wants, TV wins every time (for now). My mom takes her to resale shops and buys up the stuff that others have tossed out, so she has some A&F just she paid $3 a shirt for them

The boy, hell he out grows the stuff before it gets worn out. Hes on his second pair of shoes yet this year. little snot #-o

oh and :hijacked: again

Thanks to all for the votes :supz:

ok this is the last part of the thread hijack:
just boy his shoes a size or 2 big. thats what my dad always used to do. i would complain and then he would say "at your age i got one pair of shoes every 5 years and had to walk to school in 2feet of snow uphill bothways etc " i would always ask him if any dinosaurs attacked him on the way

The voting started Monday, when does it end?
At last check there was a 5 way tie for 2nd place, when does the voting start and end for the tie breaker(If need be)?
Will the tie breaker be a shorter voting period?

Glad you think so, but its not mine yet, still 12hrs to vote and loads of people to vote. 2nd place is still in the air.

With DaIceMan's vote we have a two way tie for second, still 3 others in third that still have a shot with the number people left to vote.

I'm still checking this thread a lot [-o<
