Asus Rampage II Extreme

Post by FZ1 »

It's about time a mobo manufacturer gave intentional usable points for measuring various board voltages - NICE!
Eight different solder points and pin-outs allow multimeter readings of DIMM, ICH, ICH PCIe, IOH, QPI, CPU PLL, and Core voltages.

It's not even out yet, so it WILL be cream of the crop.

Bit of an old thread but I gotta agree, if I had the income to dispose of I'd be getting this sucker. Will be nice to know voltages at stock, then overclocked not just for best OC tuning but to ensure nothing is going to get cooked when pushing that CPU up against the wall...

Well this IS a LGA1366 motherboard... I just shudder to think how much they will be asking for this one. Does anyone know yet?

The Asus Rampage II Extreme is top of my list, but I saw this motherboard and I would like some feedback to see what you think if it would be better http://www.xpcgear.com/ex58.html its not out yet but looks like a good overclocker.

ive owned both and like gigabyte boards better, especially since you probably wont be doing such extreme overclocking to need those solder points :P

Natasha does all the work here. I just fold. Need a faster rig for her. I think she is getting spoilled. She used to work on a Intel P4 1.8. Talk about a slow rig. Must say back in the day, it did the job. How times change. 8)
