I gotta scratch my head on this one..Honestly, if I read right, IF you're running the SAME OS( XP and XP Pro are the same ) that could be the reason why you're having issues. I would just say delete one version of windows you have and try that. If you had Vista dual booting with XP that would be different. but in my experience..you can't run 2 of the same OS(regardless if it's "professional" or not) and not have issues even if they were on a different HD..I could be wrong but I'm betting my beer on that one

I have no idea why you'd want to have two copies of XP running. Nuke the XP Home and keep the XP Pro (which may have .NET stuff you need). As for why the KB/Mouse don't work in the second Windows install might be a .DLL issue.

It's like this. I recently updated my computer and i left the old HDD inside because i will be using it in another computer, but for now it is in my computer. There is Windows xp on the old one and winXP pro (soon vista) on the other. The motherboard i bought doesn't have the floppy disk connector and i have the program on a disket (yes i know it is old but it is the cheapest way for a company to give you a program that is 1MB and you need it for work). I can't copy the disket and the old disk contains this info. and when i go to the other windows i can't use the keyboard and mouse.

Can you not see the second drive as a D (or something) hard drive from your working windows install?

You should be able to navigate to where the program is stored on the old hard drive and copy it across to the new one.
