So closed loop w/ no res eah? That sounds good. I'll look into that tonight and see how much the parts go for. I also will need to measure once I have the case to see if I can fit in that 3 x 120mm rad. I've seen a double done, but a tripple is freaking monsterous.

Re: WARMACHINE 1.5 - Design Phase!
yeah... I love watching TJ's videos. the guy does AWESOME work. I found him first when I was researching for a terminal block install. I never thought I'd find EXACTLY what I was looking for, and done as well as he did it. I find myself re-watching his videos quite often due to the detailed nature he does them in

Re: WARMACHINE 1.5 - Design Phase!
Just picked up the case this AM and my GPU came in last night. I'm off the next two days and I'm going to try mocking up the case with a foam board radiator to see if I can fit the tripple fan radiator from Switfy Since I'm only using one optical drive and two hard drives I think I should be able to make that tripple radiator fit.
It's gonna be a snug fit under my desk. There's about 4in of clearnace over the top of the case to the bottom of my desk. I may end up having to put it on one of my racks it's so big. :D

Keep in mind fittings and cooling lines. The lines only bend so much before they collapse/kink.

Smart coils on the outside of the tubing really help out alot when you need to make a tighter bend without the need for extra restrictive fittings.

Re: WARMACHINE 1.5 - Design Phase!
I take it you guys all vet Marty's parts list? What all do you think I'll be able to cool with a tripple rad?
***EDIT***
Is there any kind of sensor I can install in the machine that will trigger the PC to shut down should the water pump fail?

Like Martini161 said about the Bios shutting the rig down if it starts to over heat.Skippman wrote:I take it you guys all vet Marty's parts list? What all do you think I'll be able to cool with a tripple rad?

Your triple rad should cool just about eveything you need with the exception of a high-end sli or x-fire set, those things run really hot.

Re: WARMACHINE 1.5 - Design Phase!
Ok, I'll mock up the radiator tonight and make sure the tripple rad will fit. If it does, I'll order it from New Egg as they got it on the cheap. I'll likely be following TJ's (the guy from the video) example and using L brackets to bolt it to the case. I wonder if I really need to add 3 more fans directly on the radiator or if the 3 that are up font will be enough.

Re: WARMACHINE 1.5 - Design Phase!
Install 3 low speed fans on the radiator, you'll be glad that you did (3 are all that you should need).

Re: WARMACHINE 1.5 - Design Phase!
I thought about reversing the flow of the fans so things are blowing out the front since it'll be under my desk but realized I'd just be pulling hot case air over the radiator.

I'm also looking for a recommendation for a fan/CCT controller. I've seen a couple from Aerocool and other brands. What does everyone here use and how do you like it?

Re: WARMACHINE 1.5 - Design Phase!
I brought the case in tonight. I don't think the tripple radiator is going to fit. Not if I still want to have hard drives.
I'm wondering if I backspace the hard drives off the front of the case by 3" if I could make it fit. I can't help but feel like I'm just forcing something that shouldn't be put in there in the first place. What do you guys think? Should I try and force it, or am I being foolish?

Re: WARMACHINE 1.5 - Design Phase!
The parts list is at the beginning of the thread but I have two SATA drives, a Raptor boot drive and a 7200 slave drive for my ISO's. I know my cable management skills on this current box suck. It's mostly due to the fact there IS no where to hide the cables. Shoulda bought a modular PSU.
My current case:

The photo's don't show it but the cabling is UV reactive and there are CCT black lights behind the panel which cause it to glow.

Here's what I'm working with:

Re: WARMACHINE 1.5 - Design Phase!
I say you should totally try and cram that in
Have the rad vertical down the front, and just have the drives offset backwards crammed in.
(or find somewhere else to put the drives).
