Turning off IGD Graphics on the Intel DG45ID Motherboard

I was using the board last night and was curious if it was possible to turn off the integrated graphics for those of us that have added in a secondary card?

I'm running BIOS Version 0079, but I see BIOS 0081 just came out recently, so I will give that one a shot...

I updated the Intel DG45ID motherboard sBIOS to version 0081

I now have the latest BIOS on the board and no magical 'disable' integrated graphics option appeared.

I would figure that the setting would be under peripherals or advanced video configuration, but no luck. The reason I'm checking into this is when playing a Blu-Ray movie the CPU load is ~38% on an Intel Q9300 on this board. When adding in a Radeon HD 4850 the CPU load remains at ~38%... That tells me it isn't offloading the Blu-Ray playback through the video card like it should be doing even though the HDMI is going through the Radeon HD graphics card.

Hardware Acceleration plain out doesn't work on BIOS 0079, but it works fin on BIOS 0081...

Don't have to disable the card and it now correctly detects the ATI card... what a mess. Update your BIOS if you are doing Blu-Ray playback on a discrete card otherwise you're still running no hardware acceleration.

my 8200a doesnt have the disable thing, but it lest you chose either to use one or both of the adapters, then has an init display first option. trying to let get it to do HDMI via the the mobo and do VGA via the 9600gt....

I actually have the IGD enabled and intend to disable it 2 years down the line when I get a PCI Express x16 Video Card. As of right now the X4500HD is being a pain by supporting 1280x768 and not 1280x800 in Windows Vista 64-bit. My monitor is a Dell E248WFP which works perfectly with my previous computer system. The resolution and refresh rate from the X4500HD produces unorthodox pictures when I plug it into my Dell Monitor. Can anyone suggest a fix?

1900x1200 works beautifully but resolutions below that are dismal. I like 1280x800 on a 24inch just for consistency with my laptop.
