Google Chrome

Post by Flux »

Has anyone began using Google's new web browser (currently in beta) called Chrome? I'd like to, but I generally stay away from beta software if I can help it.
Did anyone take the time to read through the "comic" (which served as an introduction to Chrome's features)? There are some very interesting ideas. I suggest you check it out. Please let me know what you think.

Googles idea of beta isn't a real world programming beta version. It's more like a well tested release candidate than anything else.

I searched the forum for "Chrome" but it didn't return anything. Maybe I was searching in a sub-form...

the only features i liked in chrome were the thing with all your most commonly visited pages on new tabs, and 'incognito mode' (aka pr0n mode :P ) and both of them have now been ported to firefox 3.0 via addons

When Firefox 2 came out I was done with them, I had nothing but problems. It would crash 90% of the time and within the first 10 minutes of having it open. So I went back to IE....well Chrome came out and so I have been using it since and I like it. A good alternative to IE and until I can bring myself to try firefox again it will stay this way.

So basically my browser is always on incognito mode? Aside from cookies (I clear those from time to time). I never understood what the point of history was.
